Born in 1960, Jean-Philippe Duboscq lives and works in Brussels.

Duboscq graduated from the ENSAAV, LaCambre, in Brussels, he first pictural researches were with gunny, pigments, pumice stone and sand. By the end of the 1990s he made a radical change to the architecture of his paintings and drawings that begun to seem torn, suspended and mobile.

Duboscq’s current work, is brisk and bold. His intuitive movements lead him to resistance, deviations. A kind of distortion of the form of which the subject is painting.

He creates a world in a bebop tempo, blurred, made of saturated colors and shifted rhythms, of which the space in perspective opens to an internal light.
